A backyard wedding can be a beautiful event. Coupled with your carefully planned decorations, the beauty and charm of nature can complement a variety of wedding themes. Backyard weddings can also showcase a beautiful home or outdoor property. A backyard wedding can be a magical event, however, there are some special decorating considerations to remember as you create your wedding decoration plan.
Understand the possibilities that the yard possesses and plan your ceremony and reception accordingly. Determine if both events will be held at the same site and ways that the two events can be separated. Rented tents and chairs and accessories can quickly transform a beautiful backyard into a wonderful backyard wedding site. Consider using an arch to create a special nook for saying, "I do."
As decorations are selected remember that while the wedding should complement the beauty of backyard, the yard should be dressed up, just like the guests, for the special day. Backyard weddings do not have to be bland or sloppily decorated. Use elements such as tulle, ribbon, twinkle lights and flowers to dress up the backyard for the wedding.
When planning a backyard wedding it is important to create a weather contingency plan. While not something that anyone wishes for on their wedding day, bad weather can potentially ruin an otherwise perfectly planned day. Remember when it rains the ground can quickly get muddy and mud will quickly turn your wonderful, white wedding dress into a sloppy, brown mess.

Remembering the special considerations involved when planning a backyard wedding will help to ensure a beautiful day. A well executed backyard wedding offers an intimacy and charm that a more traditional site cannot parallel.
