Almost all brides and grooms give out wedding favors these days. What will you be giving? Do you need some ideas? There was a time not so long ago that our choices were limited. However, these days it can seem like the possibilities are endless.

It may even seem like the problem is that there are too many choices. Where does a bride start? With there being so many difficult decisions to make during wedding planning, you do not want what favor to give be one of them!

So what is a bride to do? Just like throughout the rest of the wedding the bride and groom need to make some decisions, coming up with ideas for wedding reception favors is no exception. The first questions that must be answered is what type of favor, how many favors per guest and how much money can the bride and groom afford to spend per guest.

Let us start with the price first, because lets face it " weddings are expensive. Wedding favors have a wide range of pricing from about a dollar a piece to ones that are over $10.00 per favor. Of course the more expensive the more elaborate and nice the favor is. However, either way for 100 guests you are talking about a range of $100.00 to 1000.00 dollars. For some brides, that is way too much.

Many brides go the DIY route with wedding favors. If this is something you are considering one way to do this is to buy bulk edible favors like mints or chocolates and put them in individual favor bags or boxes. If you have a large wedding and this is a lot of work you can get the groom, your family or bridal party to help you.

Most brides and grooms choose one really nice favor to give out, like a candle or some nice bath soaps. However some brides choose to give out multiple favors. One way to do this is to package them together in a nice favor bag tied with ribbon or a favor box. If your guests to have something sweet to snack on during the reception you could always create a centerpiece filled with candy, mints or nuts and still give out one nice keepsake as a favor.

What kind of wedding favors are you giving out? Do you need some ideas? Well for basic non themed weddings there are many choices, some include candy, flowers, kitchen items, candles, magnets, playing cards, coasters, wine stoppers and so much more.

If you are having a themed or destination wedding you are going to want your favors to match your individual wedding. Themed wedding favors are usually similar to other wedding favors; they just are a specific theme. Some popular themes include beach themes, fairytale, black and white and eco-friendly weddings. If the wedding is not themed, that is okay, you can still choose a theme for the favors that represents your own hobbies and passions.

When you begin your shopping, do not forget to be creative! Think about your wedding and your passions and use that to come up with the perfect favor. Wedding favors are there to thank your guests for sharing in your wedding day, so do not forget to shop with them in mind as well!
